Senior Frontend Engineer — Workflow Builder
Plexis lets healthcare teams visually build and deploy governed workflows across EHR, ERP, scheduling, lab, messaging, and internal systems.
We are building a serious enterprise platform, not a simple dashboard or CRUD SaaS app. The workflow builder is the product surface.
We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to own the frontend product experience for Plexis.
You will build the visual workflow builder and operational console that users rely on to create workflows, configure nodes, test flows, publish versions, monitor executions, review audit trails, approve actions, and resolve failed or uncertain workflow runs.
This is a complex product engineering role. You should be comfortable building graph-based interfaces, heavy stateful UI, schema-driven forms, admin consoles, execution timelines, and enterprise-grade workflows.
This is not a marketing site role. This is not a basic React dashboard role.
You will own frontend development for:
Visual workflow builder using a node-based canvas
Node palette, drag/drop interaction, edge connections, zoom/pan, selection states
Node configuration side panels
Dynamic forms for node configuration
Workflow draft, validation, test run, and publish flows
Workflow templates that users can customize
Connector setup and connector health screens
Run history and execution timeline
Audit trail visualization
Approval queue and operator task views
Reconciliation queue for workflows requiring human review
Admin settings, tenant configuration, and user/role management
Frontend/backend contract design with the backend platform engineer
A polished product experience that feels safe, serious, and enterprise-ready
6–10+ years of frontend or product engineering experience
Strong React
Strong TypeScript
Experience building complex B2B SaaS products
Strong frontend architecture judgment
Strong state management experience
Experience with API-heavy applications
Experience building data-heavy admin consoles, workflow tools, dashboards, or internal platforms
Ability to translate complex backend states into clear user-facing interfaces
Strong product sense and UX judgment
Comfortable working closely with backend engineers on API contracts and data models
Ability to move fast without creating messy, unmaintainable frontend architecture
React Flow or similar graph/canvas editor experience
Workflow builder, automation builder, low-code/no-code, BPM, integration-platform, or internal-tool-builder experience
Drag/drop UI and node-based editor experience
Complex form builders or schema-driven forms
Zustand, TanStack Query / React Query, Redux, Jotai, or similar tools
Tailwind, shadcn/ui, Radix UI, or similar component systems
Timeline, audit log, event-history, or activity-feed UI experience
Enterprise SaaS, fintech, healthcare, compliance, or regulated-product experience
Experience building polished UX for complex operational products
